Medical Officers intending to apply for ACT Health positions must be eligible for full registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Successful applicants will receive salary packaging with Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) concessions, generous superannuation, four weeks annual leave and an accrued day off per calendar month. ACT Health will consider applications from candidates pursuing part-time or job sharing arrangements.

The GP Healthnet website provides GPs with better access to information about Canberra Hospital and Health Services, and Calvary Hospital Outpatient Clinics.
It provides increased visibility of services available, including geographic location and contact details for each service, together with details of eligibility requirements for referrals to the service.
The GP Taskforce has been charged with the responsibility of investigating options and innovations for improving access to primary health care in the ACT and reporting back to the ACT Legislative Assembly in September 2009 with its recommendations.
