It is the goal of Performance and Innovation (P & I) to make a difference, one by one, in the thoughts, practices and methods of current and future health care professionals working within our health facilities.

Divisional structure

Innovation and ReDesign focuses on the patient's journey through the healthcare system and assists with the development of models of care within a structured change management framework. Key areas in this unit include Patient and Family Centred Care, and the Access Improvement Program which includes work with Models of Care, and Process ReDesign (eg Outpatient ReDesign )

Innovation and ReDesign is also incorporates the National Access Program , which is also involved in the Federal Government's reforms to the funding and governance of the health system. The ACT Health projects involved with this program are Care Around the Clock and the Elective Surgery Access Plan.

The Health Performance Unit supports the Minister, the public and senior management in monitoring the performance of ACT public health services.

The Clinical Services Improvement Unit consists of the Intensive Care Network, Emergency Care Network and Early Recognition of the Deteriorating Patient Program (COMPASS).

The Elective Surgery Access Team provides ACT residents with the most complete and up to date waiting list information.
